The Committee on Climate Change (CCC) said carbon emissions form people’s homes needed to be cut by 35% before 2020. There are approximately 25 million homes in the UK and they account for around a quarter of the UK’s CO2 emissions. Emissions need to be reduced by 35% on todays levels by 2022 in order to meet carbon targets.
